On the morning of October 11, 2015, the first student congress of School of Economics and Management (herein after referred to as SEM) was successfully held in the auditorium on the 3^rd floor of Tongji Building A. Prof. LIU Run, League secretary of Tongji University, Prof. JIN Fu’an, Senior Deputy Dean of SEM, Prof. TAO Jianlan, Deputy Dean of SEM, and Prof. HAN Chuanfeng, Prof. RUAN Qingsong, and Prof. CHEN Shouming, Deputy Deans of SEM, as well as 124 student representatives from the whole SEM attend the congress. This congress discusses and passes the <Charter for Student Committee of School of Economics and Management, Tongji University>, elects the first student committee of SEM and holds the launching ceremony of the mobile client application (APP) “TongjiSEMer”.

The total number of official representatives of the student congress is 142 and 124 of them are present, of which there are 38 undergraduates, 44 postgraduates and 42 professional type of postgraduates. This student congress not only establishes a milestone for SEM’s democratic management, but also helps cultivate lots of outstanding talents for SEM’s democratic management in the future.
