As one of the leading solution providers for the civil aviation industry, Sabre Airline Solutions services approximately 225 airlines globally including network carriers, hybrids and low cost carriers. The company also serves approximately 700 other customers including airports, cargo and charter airlines, corporate fleets, governments and tourism boards around the world. Sabre Airline Solutions offers a broad range of decision analysis systems and solutions to help airlines market themselves, serve customers better and operate more efficiently. It provides both airline reservations systems, and a full suite of marketing and commercial planning systems and enterprise operations solutions. In this session, Dr. Lu will talk about how Sabre applies Operations Research in the airline industry, especially about airport operations and Revenue Management.

主讲人简介Bio

Dr. Xuehua Lu is the Operations Research Manager in Sabre Airline Solutions, with over 15 years of experience Operations Research on the civil aviation industry. Xuehua Lu received his MS in Operations Research, Institute of Applied Mathematics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, 1986, and his PhD in Computer Science from Department of Computer Sciences, University of Colorado at Boulder, Colorado,1996. Dr. Lu’s research focuses on the applications of Operations Research in airport operations management and airline revenue management, including airport staff planning and scheduling, gate assignment, seat allocation, booking data segmentation, etc. Dr. Lu’s area of expertise includes but not limited in mathematical programming, algorithms design, numerical analysis, parallel computation and discrete event simulation.
