Dean of Beedie School of Business, Simon Fraser University Visits SEM

On the 19th of December, Prof. ALI DASTMALCHIAN, Dean of Beedie School of Business, Simon Fraser University, visited Tongji SEM. Prof. JIN Fu’an, Director of Tongji SEM and Ms. Grace SHOU, Director of International Cooperation Office of SEM met with the guest.

The two parties introduced the two schools’ latest development and featuring disciplines. In 2012, the two schools have signed MOU and both are keen to deepen the collaborations in non-degree students exchange program and faculty training program. Two parties focus on sustainability, innovation and entrepreneurship, which Dean DASTMALCHIAN shared SFU’s relative programs. Both expressed to explore potential collaborations in these fields. Besides, executive training program, joint case writing and joint research were also discussed.

Tongji SEM has established partnerships with six Canadian universities. The student exchange programs attract many Tongji and Canadian students to each other’s school. Simon Fraser University was founded in 1965, and located in Vancouver which is a popular destination for Chinese. The university is a well-known comprehensive research university in North America, with its advantages in computer science and business. Beedie School of Business has acquired AACSB and EQUIS international accreditations.
