Tongji SEM and Manchester Business School PhD Student Exchange Agreement Officially Signed

A PhD Student Exchange Agreement between School of Economics and Management, Tongji University and Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, has been officially signed. It is another in-depth cooperation between the two schools after years of successful collaboration in MBA Dual Degree Program. Tongji SEM aims to promote the development of talents with high-level research capability and international vision. This cooperation is one of the significant moves to help Tongji SEM realize its strategy to collaborate with world first-class universities.

 

On the 26th of September, Prof. Jie Chen, President of Tongji University, met with the delegation led by Prof. Dame Nancy, President of University of Manchester. The two universities shared lots of similarities in the university scale, schools and disciplines, and developing vision. The two presidents agreed to integrate the recourses, and broaden the collaboration from business to computer science, medical science and healthcare, sustainable development of the environment, urban development, mechanical engineering and other fields.

 

University of Manchester was founded in 1824. Manchester Business School is one of the first two business schools in UK. The research ability of Enterprise Management Program is quite strong. Tongji SEM’s collaboration with Manchester Business School could be dated back to 2009 when Tongji-Manchester Dual MBA Degree Program was launched. Ten cohorts have graduated till now. The Dean of Manchester Business School is the International Advisory Committee Member of Tongji SEM.
