Abstract:

The seminar will discuss and share thoughts on publishing empirical research using field data from experiments. We will focus on a few such publications and working papers from both modeling and behavioral research as examples to discuss natural/field experiment research.

Bio:

Professor Wenbo Wang is associate Professor in the Marketing Department at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He earned PhD degree at New York University Stern Business School.

Professor Wang’s research interests focus on advertising, social media, big data, green marketing. His research appears at Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research. He was invited to give research seminar by Washington University, Boston University, PKU, Tsinghua, HKU, CKGSB, CEIBS, Tencent, Facebook, and exposed at Stanford Business Insight, TVB, Knowledge@Wharton, and South China Morning Post. Professor Wang won the Early Career Award from the Hong Kong Government.

Professor Wang worked as data scientist or training consultant with P&G, Boehringer Ingelheim, Citibank, Weibo, Apple Daily, Hainan Airline, Chongqing Government, GAC group, etc. Professor Wang won Franklin Prize for Teaching Excellence. He has been teaching social media, digital marketing, big data for MSc, EMBA, EDP.
