Tongji SEM Held the 10th National College Students’ Electronic Commerce Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship Challenge (University Level Competition)

On May 26th, the 10th National College Students’-commerce Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship Challenge, sponsored by Tongji University and hosted by Tongji SEM, was held on the ZOOM Platform. A total of 18 teams consisting of 74 students from Tongji University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Fudan University, East China University of Science and Technology, Shanghai University of International Business and Economics and Chongqing University signed up for the competition. After case submission and on-the-spot defense, Hi-Legal team won the special prize of this competition, 2 teams won the first prize, 4 teams won the second prize and 5 teams won the third prize, all of which will have the opportunity to participate in the Shanghai Municipal Challenge.

The competition adopts the way of team presentation and simulates the competition with simulated business cases. The professionalism, adaptability and teamwork shown by students were highly recognized by the judges. In the team presentation part, the competition is based on project planning and product design, and students set up their own virtual companies. They simulate the running state of the enterprise or project through the methods of strategic deployment, market information analysis, investor type analysis, procurement and marketing design and analysis, etc. In the defense part, they need to introduce the sales products, sales model, and supply chain management of the company operation.

 

This competition enables students to apply the knowledge of management theory and the abstract theoretical framework to the actual entrepreneurial environment, and create a learning environment for the combination of experiment and skill training. It effectively promotes the improvement of the quality of experimental teaching. In the process of evaluation, the entrepreneur review pays more attention to the problems existing in the actual practice of the project, which makes the competition have more practical significance.
