2020 Pujiang Innovation Forum with the theme of global cooperation and governance of science and technology innovation , had its grand opening in Shanghai on Oct 22th.

The 2020 Pujiang Innovation Forum is co-sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Shanghai Municipal Government, and co-hosted by Tongji University, etc. With the requirements of epidemic prevention and control, the forum this year is held both online and offline. Serbia, as the country of honor this year, has a national pavilion at the forum in its capital city , Belgrade. The forum consists of opening ceremony, plenary session, the Inno-Match Expo , as well as 16 special sessions  with the topics including the Belt and Road Initiative, regions, policies, young scientists, entrepreneurs, fintech, future science, and emerging technologies, etc.

LI Keqiang, Premier of the State Council of China and Ana BRNABIĆ, Prime Minister of Serbia which is this year’s country of honor, respectively delivered video speeches. LI Qiang, Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), WANG Zhigang, Minister of Science and Technology, GONG Zheng, Deputy Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee of CPC and Mayor of Shanghai, DONG Yunhu, Chairman of Shanghai People’s Political Consultative Committee, and YU Shaoliang, Deputy Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee of CPC, attended the opening ceremony of the forum. The opening ceremony was hosted by XU Guanhua, Chairman of Pujiang Innovation Forum and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. ZHAO Qizheng, Vice Chairman of the Council of Pujiang Innovation Forum, FANG Shouen, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tongji University, WU Zhiqiang, Vice President of Tongji University, together with experts and scholars from other universities, scientific research institutions, enterprises as well as representatives from the scientific and technological, industrial and financial sectors attended the Forum.
