On December 3^rd 2020, the “14th Five-Year Plan” Innovation Governance Symposium of Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Center was held in Tongji SEM. Experts, scholars and planners from Shanghai Science and Technology Committee, Shanghai Economic and Information Technology Committee, Shanghai Earthquake Agency, Shanghai Institute of Science, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Fudan University, the Shanghai Zhongchuang Industrial Innovation Research Center and Tongji University attended the symposium. The symposium was hosted by Prof. CHEN Qiang from Tongji SEM.

At the symposium, Professor CHEN introduced the background, process, overall framework of the thematic planning for Innovation Governance. Ms. WANG Xueying, an associate researcher from Shanghai Institute of Science, elaborated on the ideas, overall objectives, key tasks of the planning. Subsequently, the experts had a discussion on the planning, and expressed professional opinions from different perspectives. Planners from Shanghai Science and Technology Committee, and Shanghai Institute of Science responded to the concerns from the experts and scholars, and put forward relevant suggestions.
