On April, 2021, Career Development Center of Tongji SEM held a career development seminar for students majoring in economics and finance. Professor ZHONG Ninghua introduced his own academic experiences to guide students to further think about who they are and how to combine their favorite lifestyle with their career choices so as to achieve continuous satisfaction at work.

Prof. ZHONG Ninghua said that students who want to continue their studies need to learn from real academic masters and elites in the industry, and maintain the habit of lifelong thinking and lifelong learning. For students who want to work directly, ZHONG Ninghua compared the traditional financial industry and the new financial industry’s work mode and the requirements for talents. He said that they must actively participate in practice to find the true direction in the future. At the same time, he provided students with a method to make their own five-year plan, set a reasonable future career development goal for themselves, and make a clear path for each step of accumulation.

In the exchange session, the students communicated and interacted with Prof. ZHONG Ninghua from the perspectives of their own academic training and career development. This seminar not only stimulated students to think about how to cultivate management skills, but also helped them understand possible paths for future development.
