According to the China Subject Ratings 2024 recently released by Times Higher Education, Tongji University has 15 subjects rated as A+, including Tongji SEM’s two subjects, Management Science and Engineering, and Business Administration.

The Times Higher Education China Subject Ratings have become the only performance tables that compare Chinese universities to their international counterparts based on the Chinese Ministry of Education’s classification of subjects since 2020. The ratings include 1,885 universities worldwide, 86 of which are in the Chinese mainland, and measure performance in 83 subjects across five key areas (i.e. teaching, research, citations, international outlook and industry income), to truly reflect the comprehensive competitiveness of universities’ subjects.
