City Management sub-forum -Urban Informatization and E-politic Affairs Forum principally lectured by Prof. Qinghua Bai of SEM received high recognition from Shanghai municipal leaders. Secretary of Municipal Party Committee Zhengsheng Yu, Mayor Zheng Han, Deputy Mayor Xiong Yang and other leaders all signed with remarks on the ultimate decision made at the forum, and Secretary of Municipal Party Committee Zhengsheng Yu comments on the report: the forum brings forth the problems regarding urban informatization and e-politic affairs, pointing out that we should strengthen information sharing, process restructuring, information criteria establishing and other key measures, meanwhile arouse great attention of involved departments and leaders. Secretary Yu also directly approved and forwarded the document to Mayor Han, Deputy Mayor Yang and other leaders, requesting them to care about this issue in person and bring all the measures into effect. Mayor Han and Deputy Mayor Yang also remark on the document. It is reported that among a series of decision-making references at the forums hosted by colleges and universities last year, the City Management sub-forum is the only one that municipal leaders give a written reply.

 

Prof. Qinghua Bai of SEM delivered a keynote speech at the forum entitled “Keep on Advancing the Study on Shanghai Urban Informatization and E-politic Affairs”. This speech is accomplished on the basis of relative projects that have consecutively won two Shanghai Philosophy & Social Science Fund. It analyzed the existing problems in this field, and put forward a collection of improved measures. The forum also invited experts from Shanghai Information Committee, Songjiang District Information Commission, Information Commission of Jiading District, Fudan University, Wanda Company and other units to make speeches.
