On May 6, President Gang PEI met with the Delegation of Rice University headed by President David W. Leebron. Prof. Jianwei WU, Vice Dean for International Relations and Collaboration of SEM attended the meeting together with colleagues from other colleges such as College of Architecture and Urban Planning, UNEP-Tongji Institute of Environment for Sustainable Development, College of Foreign Languages, and School of Political Science and International Relations.

President Pei introduces the latest development of “4+2 Engineering Education Reform” in Tongji and proposes closer and deeper collaboration with Rice to perfect our university’s system of engineering education.

Jones Graduate School of Management, Rice University has signed Strategic Alliance Agreement with our school in 2007. This visit will help promote student exchange partnership between the two schools.
