Dean of College of Business and Economics, Lehigh University, US, Visits SEM

On June 14, 2012, Prof. Dr. Paul Brown, Dean of Dean of College of Business and Economics (CBE), Lehigh University, Dr. Katrina Zalatan, Associate Dean and Director for Undergraduate Program, and Prof. Oliver YAO, faculty of CBE and visiting professor of our school visited SEM, Tongji. Prof. HUO Jiazhen, Dean of SEM, together with staff from International Cooperation Office of SEM, met with the delegation. The two parties introduced the development of the two business schools and find many similarities in strategy development ideology. The two parties explored substantial collaborations in various aspects including faculty joint research, student exchange program, joint winter and summer term abroad, Sino-US online simulation class, etc.
 
Lehigh University is ranked 37th in the newly released 2011 “Guide to America’s Best Colleges,” by US News and World Report. Lehigh’s College of Business and Economics was ranked 31th in the best business school in the United State by 2012 Business Week and is accredited by the authoritative AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). CBE is also very strong and ranked top 10 in the US in the specialty areas as operations management, corporate strategy and finance.
