On October 20th, 2012, Prof. Saul Klein, Dean of Gustavson School of Business, University of Victoria (hereinafter referred to as UVic) and Prof. Linda SHI of International Business and Marketing of UVic visited SEM, Tongji. Prof. Dr. HUO Jiazhen, Dean of SEM met with the guests. The two parties reviewed their exchange program in recent years, shared with each other the latest international programs and development of the two business schools, and explored potential collaboration areas as Executive Development Program and joint scientific research.

Established in 1903, University of Victoria is consistently ranked as one of Canada’s leading research universities and ranked among the top 200 in the world by the Times Higher Education survey. Its School of Business was founded in 1990, which boasts 35 faculty members all with strong research background coming from all over the world. Entrepreneurship, Service Management and International Business are its three main disciplinary specializations. With over 60 partner universities, over 80 % of its students have overseas study exchange experience.
