Delegation of University of Quebec in Montreal, Visits School of Economics and Management, Tongji University

On October 23rd, 2012, a delegation of University of Quebec at Montreal, including Mr. Sylvain St-Amand, Director of Office of International Relations of UQAM and Dr. Benoit Bazoge, Associate Dean of Studies of the School of Management visits SEM, Tongji. Prof. RUAN Qingsong, Deputy Dean of SEM, together with staffs from International Cooperation Office of SEM, met with the guests. The two parties briefed their history and development. School of Management, UQAM is the only school in Canada which has been accredited by PMI (Project Management Institute). The two parties explored potential cooperation in project management program.

The University of Quebec in Montreal, founded in 1969, with 41,000 students in total, is a public French-language university with an international reach and influence. Its School of Management has acquired EQUIS accreditation and has 12,000 students, 280 full-time faculty members and 60 part time faculty members.

UQAM is a member of CREPUQ, a non-profit corporation which act as the representative of all Quebec universities. In Feb. 2001, Tongji University signed a cooperation agreement with CREPUQ to promote education, research and other fields. The two parties launched Student Exchange Program (SEP) in 2002. Its members include 11 universities and institutions, namely, McGill University, HEC-Montreal, Ecole Polytechnique, University of Quebec, Concordia University, University of Laval and etc.
