On the 6th of June, 2013, ten Tongji EMBA student representatives from EMBA Class 12 visited Xi Shan Xiang Gan and Long An primary schools located in Guangxi province, with 100 thousands Yuan of donation from their class.

This donation was initiated by the class committee of EMBA Class 12 and soon got a proactive response from all the students. With the support of local Bureau of Education, two students, Rongzhen FENG, Deputy Director of the Development and Reform Commission, Fangchenggang city, Guangxi Province and Shuqing PAN, the Manager of Xin Dian Xian Design Company of Nanning City organized several field trips to the primary schools. This donation is completely used for the purchase of teaching facilities and equipment so as to create a better learning environment and conditions for the children. When the representatives see kids sitting beside the new desks, holding new books and stationery, with their faces filled with happy smiles, everyone feels moved and encouraged.

The EMAB participants conveyed their sincere hope to contribute to the fundamental education of the underdeveloped areas with their efforts. They said that Tongji EMBA is not only a platform for advanced studies, but also the platform of fulfilling social responsibilities.
