Chinese Corner Between Chinese and International Students

Mon, Dec 15, 2014

The International Department of School of Economics and Management held ‘Chinese Corner’ successfully in Room 107, South Teaching Building, Siping Campus, in the evening of Dec.8th.

During the activity, both Chinese and foreign students played ‘Truth or Dare’ as an ice breaking game, which allowed them to know each other better. In the next session, Chinese students volunteered to help foreign students with their Chinese homework and oral Mandarin. After that, international students learnt practicing Chinese calligraphy with a writing brush with great enthusiasms, and acted the play from the old Chinese novel ‘Journey to the West’. At last, they shared traditional delicacies from their hometowns.

Both Chinese and foreign students had great fun, chatting with pleasure and acquired a good knowledge of different cultures. Throughout the activity, the friendship between them was also enhanced. The pleasant talk did not stop even the activity had already finished. The enthusiasm of everyone lightened and warmed the night that had been dark and cold.
