Seminar Held in Tongji SEM to Discuss the Impact of Universities on Shanghai Global Science and Innovation Center Development

On the 14th of April, co-organized by Shanghai Municipal Government Development Research Center and Tongji University, a seminar was held to discuss the impact of universities on Shanghai global science and innovation center development. Guests were invited from universities, government and industries. The seminar was hosted by Prof. ZHU Demi of Tongji SEM. SEM prof. CHEN Qiang made a speech on four basic positions of universities’ impact on Shanghai global science and innovation center development. He emphasized the influences of developing talents, scientific research, social service and cultural inheritance. He also mentioned the weakness and reform of Shanghai universities facing the development of Shanghai global science and innovation center.
