On Jun 15^th 2019, the 1^st IDI & TIS Summit Forum in China was held successfully in Tongji SEM. This forum was co-sponsored by Tongji University and Shanghai Insurance Society, and jointly hosted by Tongji SEM, Shanghai Tongji Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd, and Institute for Urban Risk Management of Tongji University.

More than 200 distinguished guests from government organs, insurance companies, TIS institutes and universities were invited to join this forum to discuss the future development of IDI & TIS model in China.

“Tongji IDI & TIS Research Center” was officially launched the same day. Approved by Tongji University, this center aims to carry out teaching, scientific research and practical activities in the field of IDI & TIS. It is the first research center specializing in IDI & TIS academic exploration in China.

A series of forums were held that day, such as “Insurance Helps to Promote the High-quality Development of Construction Projects”, “Yangtze River Delta Needs to Plan A New Start in the New Era”, “Fully Play Insurance in Urban Safety Development”, “Potential Defect Insurance of Construction Quality—Comparison of IDI & TIS” and “Discussion of Theoretical Attributes of IDI on Risk Management and Control of Insurance Companies”.
