In the early spring of 2020, the sudden outbreak of the COVID-19 has plunged the world into chaos. In the darkest hour of the epidemic in China, medical workers initiated to fight against the novel coronavirus on the front line without being requested. As countries around the world offered a helping hand to pull us through, all Chinese people are deeply moved by their unconditional support and love. Lands apart, sky shared. We are living in a world where every one of us is looking out for each other.

While China has got back on its feet, the outbreaks took place elsewhere. Though miles apart, we are very concerned about countries that are suffering.

Distance cannot do us apart, we all live in a united world. All countries should work together to fight the coronavirus. The epidemic has now emerged into the global “pandemic”. At this critical moment, China, with the support from all walks of life, has provided over 130 countries and international organizations with medical supplies, including surgical masks, protective garments, and testing kits. We have held over 70 expert video conferences with more than 150 countries and international organizations, and sent 13 teams of medical experts to 11 countries to share China’s experience and treatment plans and do everything they can to help these countries.

There is a saying in China’s traditional virtues that we always repay goodwill with greater kindness. It shows our commitment to the battle against the pandemic with countries across the globe, our ethos to look out for each other, and our determination to secure a shared future for all mankind!

As our destinies are intertwined, we wish people around the world safety and good health. Staying committed to the school motto “Helping the world with a unified faith”, teachers and students at School of Economics and Management, Tongji University, are singing the song, “Let the World Filled with Love”, to deliver their kindness and best wishes to people in every corner of the world when they are fighting together to tide over all the difficulties.

Like the mountain range that stretches before you and me, let’s share the same trails and hardship together. United we shall overcome. We wish our friends from all over the world to stay optimistic, strong, safe and healthy even if we are just strangers! We are willing to look out for each other to walk out of the darkness and embrace a brighter future together!
