“November International Month” 2020 Study Abroad Fair Held Successfully at Tongji SEM

On November 11th ,2020,  SEM’s first 2021 Study Abroad Fair under the theme of “November International Month” was successfully held simultaneously in Tongji Building A and on the ZOOM online live broadcast platform. The fair has received great attention from the students, and more than 300 of them signed up for the event. Ms. Yuan yuan, a faculty from Graduate​ School of Tongji University as well as several outstanding alumni representatives attended the meeting and shared with student their ideas and experiences of studying abroad.

First, the study abroad programs in 2021, scholarship and financial aid information, as well as the process of program application were introduced. Ms. Yuan yuan, then further explained various national and university-level overseas study programs. Outstanding alumni representatives, Ms. Pei Pei and Mr. Wu Xiaotao, shared programs they attended and experiences they gained during their application and study abroad period. They said that overseas exchange and study not only broadened their international horizons and improved their ability to solve problems independently, but also laid a good foundation for the cross-cultural communication in their future career.

Internationalization has always been one of the distinctive features of SEM. It has always been one of our key missions to expand the multi-level and interactive international vision for college students. The “November International Month” series with the theme of overseas exchange was launched for the first time this year to help students fully understand the overseas exchange program, make better use of school resources to study in excellent partner institutions abroad, and to enhance their international competitiveness. It also intended to improve the quality of international talent cultivation of SEM, and meet the new talents demand in the national “The Belt and Road” strategy.

As a continuation of the “November International Month”, every Wednesday afternoon in November is designated as the International Exchange consultation Day for students to have one-on-one consultation at the International Cooperation and Accreditation Office.
