Delegation of Warwick Business School, University of Warrick visits SEM, TONGJI

On Oct. 26, 2010, Prof. Qi DONG, Vice President of TONGJI met with the delegation of Warwick Business School (WBS), University of Warrick in the Conference Room of the 2nd Floor of Yuntong Building. The delegation includes Prof. Mark P Tayor, Dean of WBS, Prof. Qing Wang, Associate Dean of WBS, and Ms. Alison Bond, Head of External Relations. Prof. Jianwei WU, Vice Dean for International Relations and Collaboration of SEM, Prof. Guangbin WANG, Vice Dean of SEM, Prof. Dajian ZHU, Head of Department of Public Administration and staff of International Office of SEM also presented at the meeting.
 
On behalf of Tongji University, DONG warmly welcomed the guests and briefly introduced the history and international cooperation of Tongji University, while Vice Dean WU introduced the school and particularly collaborative double degree programs of MBA, and EMBA programs with foreign partners. WBS and SEM share lots of similarities in number of faculty and students, departments and programs. Both schools extend wishes to establish potential partnership in double-degree MPA program, executive development program for global energy program, and Global Energy MBA program, etc. Memorandum of Understanding between the two schools is expected to be signed in the coming month.
 
Ranked one of the TOP 10 UK universities, WBS, University of Warrick is the first business school in UK, who got the three authoritative accreditations by AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), AMBA (Accredited MBA) and EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System). The latest 2010 Financial Times ranking shows WBS ranked No. 35th for its EMBA program, No. 42th for its Global MBA Program, and No. 22th as Best European Business Schools.
