No. 6th Tongji EMBA Cohort Students Fund Construction of Primary School for Hope Project

On the 30th of October, funded by No. 6th Tongji EMBA Cohort students with a total amount of RMB 425,000, the Primary School for Hope Project in Dingxi, Gansu Province completes reconstruction.
The school was originally founded in 1956 and was unfortunately collapsed during the earthquake on 12 May 2008. In Oct. 2009, the “Hope Project” received a total of RMB 425,000 in donations by No. 6thTongji EMBA Cohort students, with which it helped the reconstruction of the collapsed school. The construction project was launched in July 2010, aimed to build 6 classrooms of masonry-timber structure and 8 teachers’ offices with a total construction area of 369 square meters. The new primary school helps the dropouts to continue primary education in more spacious and brighter classrooms and is vital for the positive development of the young generations.
