On September 15^th, 2013, the opening ceremony of Tongji-CWRU MBA/MSM-Finance Double Degree Program & Finance Forum was grandly held at the School of Economics and Management (hereafter referred to SEM), Tongji University.

 

 

The opening ceremony was hosted by the program manager of the double degree program, Vanessa Wu. Professor Dr. HuoJiazhen presented the opening ceremony. Director of Banking Regulatory Commission of Shanghai Municipal Government, Mr. Liao Min also presented and gave a speech with the topic of “Hot Topics in China’s Banking Industry”. Directors of both sides of the double degree program, Dr. Anurag Gupta and Dr. Li Yibin, expressed their gratitude to the guests, and presented the advices to the new batch of students.

 

 

The Third Tongji-CWRU Alumni Finance Forum was held in the afternoon, hosted by Dr. Li Yibin.Tongji-CWRU Finance Forum is jointly launched by SEM, Tongji University and Weatherhesd School of Management, Case Western Reserve University, with the motivation of creating a platform for the students of double degree program to communicate and interact with executives of finance industry. In the forum, Mr. Jason Zhao, investment manager of Kleiner Perkins Caufield& Byers, gave the themed speech of “Foreign PE/VC Investment in China”. Alumni of the double degree program, Wang Xiaohui, investment manager of ABC-CA Fund Management Co., Ltd, and Jiang Xingda, senior investment manager of Shenguang Finance Research Institution, also shared their experience with the students, mainly focus on tactics of flexible financial management and hot field of investment in China. Since all the speakers are at the same age of students, they had sufficient and in-depth communication, and the atmosphere of forum was warm.
