Three Degree Programs Passed The Re-evaluation of RICS

 The three degree programs of Tongji-SEM, namely, BBA, MBA and Master in Engineering Management, passed the re-evaluation of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (hereinafter referred to as RICS) in October 17, 2013. The RICS working group, composed of assessment experts, such as Henry Li (FRICS, AESB representative), Stanley Chow (FRICS), Brooke Zhu (MRICS), Ernest Leung (Deputy Director, RICS North Asia), Crystal Fan (Development Officer, RICS China) etc., visited  Tongji University in order to carry out on-site inspections and assessment.

 

RICS, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, was founded in London in 1868.Over 500 staff in 30 locations lead, manage and support the organization’s work in partnership with its members. RICS is the world’s leading professional body for setting standards in the surveying industry. It is a substantial ‘business in the public interest’.

 

After on-site inspections, the RICS working group spoke highly of these programs and offered valuable suggestions, putting that they were at a high standard. The three degree programs were authenticated by consensus and the period of validity was 5 years. After the authentication, all students graduated from these three degree programs are able to apply for the exams of RICS authentication via graduation. They will get the qualification of RICS member after an interview. It provides the basis for graduates’ future career as well as their competitiveness in the international market after their professional degree courses get authenticated by The world’s top professional society
