Dean of College of Business, Michigan State University Visits SEM

On the morning of 30th October, the delegation of Prof. Sanjay Gupta, The Eli & Edythe L. Broad Dean, Broad College of Business, Michigan State University visited School of Economics and Management, Tongji University. Prof. CHEN Song, and Prof. CHEN Shouming, Deputy Deans of SEM and Director of SEM’s International Cooperation and Accreditation Office warmly welcomed the guest.

The two parties introduced the two schools’ latest development and featuring disciplines and shared the experience of alumni service. Both expressed to explore potential collaborations in faculty exchange, joint research, co-coaching of master and PhD students, and double degree master programs. After the meeting, the guests were led to visit Tongji Historical Gallery and SEM Historical Gallery.

Michigan State University was founded in 1855 and was located in East Lansing, Michigan, United States. It served as a model for land-grant universities later created under the Morrill Act of 1862. The university boasts more than 50, 000 students. Eli Broad College of Business boasts 125 full time faculties and over 4200 students. Its Organization Behavior, International Business and Supply Chain Management were ranked top in the US. According to US News and World Report, the Bachelor program and Master Program of Supply Chain Management were ranked the first, Hospitality Business 2nd, Accounting and Finance among top 20 in the US.
