July 11^th to 14^th, UK local time, Dr. JIN Fu’an, Senior Deputy Dean, Dr. XU Qin, Deputy Director of MBA Center, Ms. Grace SHOU, Director of International Accreditation and Cooperation Office of Tongji SEM visited Manchester Business School and Warwick Business School in UK and explored deeper collaboration initiatives proactively.

In Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS), Tongji SEM’s delegation led by Dr. JIN met with Prof. Fiona DEVINE, Dean of AMBS, Prof. Stuart Hyde, Deputy Dean for Postgraduate Programs of AMBS, Prof. Graham Winch, Director of Executive Education Center of AMBS respectively and presented at the commencement ceremony to witness the graduation of 18 Tongji-Manchester Dual MBA Degree students. During the meetings, both parties briefed the latest development and achievements in the past a few years and agreed to deepen collaboration in joint cultivation of PhD students and joint scientific research of faculty.

In London, the delegation met with Prof. David ELMES, Director of Master in Management Program in Warwick Business School’s London campus at the Shard and exchanged ideas on joint master students development.

Same as Tongji SEM, both Alliance Manchester Business School and Warwick Business School have the triple accreditation of business schools, AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA, confirming their roles in the top 1% leading business schools globally.

Tongji SEM’s collaboration with AMBS dated back to 2010 when Tongji-Manchester Dual MBA Degree Program was launched. Same year, the Dean of AMBS was appointed as the International Advisory Committee Member of Tongji SEM. Manchester Business School is one of the two earliest business schools in UK. Its research strength in Business and Management Program is ranked the 2nd in UK. The University of Manchester was founded in 1824 and was one of the best 50 well-known universities in the world. There are 25 Noble Prize winners studying and working in University of Manchester.

Tongji SEM started collaboration with Warwick Business School in 2011 and has maintained good cooperation ever since in the areas of student exchange, faculty joint research and etc. Warwick Business School (WBS), one of the well-known business schools in UK, is an academic school of the University of Warwick. Founded in 1965, Warwick University was located in junction between Central England and Warwick County. The university has been consistently ranked in the top 10 of British Universities Ranking, and it is also a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities.
