2019 Pujiang Innovation Forum of Science and Technology Innovation featuring “New Vision and New Future”, had its grand opening in Shanghai on May 25^th.

LI Qiang, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), attended the Opening Ceremony and Plenary Session and delivered a speech. CHEN Zhu, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, gave a report in the forum. Heng Swee Keat, Leader of Singapore (Country of Honor) Delegation, Vice-Premier and Minister of Finance, gave a keynote speech. WANG Zhigang, Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology, delivered a keynote speech and jointly launched the Shanghai National Pilot Area for New-generation AI Innovation and Development with YING Yong, Deputy Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Mayor of Shanghai.

In 2008, Pujiang Innovation Forum was jointly founded by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, Tongji University and other relevant institutions. .

In this year’s forum, there will be 4 special seminars and 11 themed meetings focusing on future science, industry innovation, regional innovation, policy, finance of science & technology and innovation culture. Representatives of relevant ministries, Singapore (Country of Honor) Delegation, Hebei Province and other provinces, as well as representatives of science and technology areas, scholars, financial industry home and abroad, will exchange ideas and publish a series of think tank research results.
