The Shanghai Municipal Education Commission recently announced the list of internship programs for students from Shanghai universities to international organizations, and our undergraduate student WANG Shirui and postgraduate student GONG Jin were awarded the program funding. They went to “Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO)” and “Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons” (The Hague, Netherlands) for internship respectively.

The Internship Programme for Higher Education Students to International Organizations aims to promote the cultivation of talents for international organizations in higher education, and plays a positive role as a model for encouraging and supporting Chinese youth to enter international organizations. The program continues to promote the cause of opening up of education to the outside world and helps to enhance the voice and representation of developing countries in global governance. Internships for college students in international organizations are not only of great significance to the development of the country, but also create more opportunities for career development for individuals. The success of the two students in applying for the municipal program vividly illustrates the educational concept of our college to cultivate students’ international vision and provide more possibilities for students’ career development by increasing cross-cultural internships and exchanges.
