Energy and Environment Risk Management
 
What you can expect
In an environment that increasingly requires day-to-day consideration of environmental and energy problems, keeping production high while respecting the environment and consuming energy in an efficient way cannot be improvised. Moreover, today’s regulatory requirements for industrial sites call for the establishment of a professional management system to deal with energy and environmental issues.
Given this context, this Module is organized around the three following fundamental concepts: energy and environmental issues, management systems established to deal with these issues and corporate legal compliance.
By the end of the course successful participant will:
oAcquire solid knowledge in the environmental and energy approach to business.
oUnderstand the key tools of an environmental and energy management system.
Know how to implement an environmental and energy management system in their business and monitor its follow-up.

Content of the Workshop
Based on the principles of the participatory socio-constructivist pedagogical model, the active and interactive training methods, implemented throughout the training, use group situations to outline and highlight the main features of the environmental and energy culture. Situations are described through simulations and role-plays in order to consider and analyze possible solutions in real-life scenarios.
 
Meet the Workshop faculty
DENIS-REMIS Cédric
Dr. Cedric DENIS-REMIS is the French Dean of ParisTech-Shanghai-JiaoTong, an international Engineering School located in Shanghai. He has been teaching at Tsinghua and Tongji. He is a consultant and trainer in the fields of management and sustainable development for major companies in China and Europe (Sanofi, Saint-Gobain and Carrefour).
 
 
Admissions and logistics
Dates: November 23 and 24, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (including lunch break)
Fees: 8,800 RMB (covers tuition, book, case materials and lunches)
Language: English (with Chinese translation)
Venue: Tongji University EDP Center, 1 ZhangwuLu, Shanghai
Deadline for registration: October 23, 2013. You should register as soon as possible heresince the number of participants is limited and demand is high.
Payment: No payment is due until you have received confirmation of your admission. Payment is due 15 days before the Workshop and refund in case of non-show is limited to 50% of the fees.
