The Tongji University Business Management Sino-French Dual Degree Program (referred to as the “Sino-French Class”) is a project jointly established by Tongji University and seven renowned French business schools, including ESSEC Business School in Paris, for cultivating undergraduate and postgraduate students in management. Starting in 1998, characterized by the Sino-French dual degree, it is one of the earliest Sino-French dual degree programs in China and is currently one of the top-brand programs domestically. The program enrolls about 15 students annually, featuring small-class teaching. Its French partner institutions include seven well-known European business schools: ESSEC Business School, Grenoble École de Management, emlyon business school, Audencia Business School, KEDGE Business School, Rennes School of Business, and ESSCA École de Management (ESSEC participates only in the 2+2 model, while the other schools participate in the 3+2 model). The Business Management (Sino-French) Talent Cultivation Model Innovation Experimental Zone has two directions: the 2+2 direction (2 years at Tongji, 2 years undergraduate study in France, obtaining dual bachelor’s degrees) and the 3+2 direction (3 years at Tongji, 2 years postgraduate study in France, obtaining a Tongji University bachelor’s degree and a French university postgraduate degree).
In order to actively respond to and implement Tongji University’s “Triple Transformation” development strategy of Digitalization, Greening, and Integration, and to meet the needs of rapid AI technology development and economic transformation and upgrading, the Business Management major has meticulously built a full English curriculum system with “cross-cultural competency enhancement” as the main thread and “AI-enabled management practice” as the characteristic. It focuses on cultivating compound management talents with international vision and digital literacy, actively responding to the requirements of educational development and talent cultivation in the new era.
